'The Kashmir Files' earned about 180 crores in 11 days, 'Sooryavanshi' - beat 'Spider-Man'; Will soon join 200 crore club
Actor Anupam Kher starrer 'The Kashmir Files' is continuously breaking records at the box office. Directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, this film narrates the pain of Kashmiri Pandits. Released in theaters on March 11, the film has collected around Rs 13 crore on the fourth day of the second week. At the same time, the film has done a business of about Rs 180 crore in 11 days so far. According to trade analysts, the film will soon cross the 200 crore mark.
'The Kashmir Files' beats 'Sooryavanshi'-'Spider-Man'
Taran Adarsh shared the post on social media and said that the film has made a box office collection of Rs 12.40 crores in India on the fourth day of the second week i.e. on the 11th day (Monday). Earlier, the film did a business of 26.20 crores on the third day (Sunday) of the second week, 24.80 crores on the second day (Saturday) and 19.15 crores on the first day (Friday). At the same time, the film did a box office collection of Rs 97.30 crore in India in 7 days i.e. in the first week itself. In this sense, the film has done a total business of Rs 179.85 crore in India so far in 11 days.
Taran Adarsh has also called this film historical, all time blockbuster and sensational in the post. He has told that 'The Kashmir Files' has surpassed 'Sooryavanshi', '83' and Hollywood's big film 'Spider-Man' by a record margin in terms of trends and business for the second week in the post-pandemic era. According to reports, 'Sooryavanshi' did a net business of Rs 162.50 crore in the second week. Trade analysts believe that the film will cross the 200 crore mark in the next two days.
The screen count for the film was increased to 4000 in the second week.
It is mostly seen that in the second week of release, there is a downfall in the collection of films, but this is not happening with 'The Kashmir Files'. 'The Kashmir Files' is the first Bollywood film to see a steady boom in business without any big stars at a cost of around 12 crores. Not only this, on the first day the film got only 600 screens across the country. But, later the screen count was increased from 600 to 2000 in the first week considering the audience's passion for the film. Now it is being told that from the beginning of the second week, the screen count for the film has been increased to 4000.
There is no big star in the film
Apart from Anupam Kher, many actors including Mithun Chakraborty, Darshan Kumar, Pallavi Joshi, Puneet Issar, Mrinal Kulkarni are in the lead role in this film. 'The Kashmir Files' depicts the story of Kashmiri Pandits when they were expelled from their own state in the 90s. The film is produced by Abhishek Agarwal.
