Kangana Ranaut's film Manikarnika was in controversy due to many reasons. Many people demanded to stop its release for showing wrong facts in the film. After the rift with Kangana, director Krish left the shooting of the film incomplete, due to which Kangana directed the rest of the film. Thalaivi

During the promotional event of the film Judgmental Hai Kya released in 2019, Kangana had a heated argument with a reporter. Deepika's NGO also objected to the portrayal of mentally challenged people in a wrong way. The title of the film was changed.
